Time to turn the tables

Rockad (say ro-KAHD) is Swedish for castling: the one chess move where the king and a rook move together and swap sides.

Good software fails every day, often for one reason: the people who built it had no network, no sales team and nobody to market it. Meanwhile, buyers end up with whatever shouts loudest, or whatever they already knew.

We think that's backwards. Rockad starts from your problem. You say what's getting in your way, and we show you the products that solve exactly that, and the people who built them. Nobody can pay to be placed higher.

That gives every product an honest chance to be found, and you a better basis for your choice.

The goal: when you realise you need a piece of software, Rockad is where you look first.

We've just opened, so the catalog is still small. Some Listings are written by Rockad from the Product's own site, marked “Not confirmed by the Maker”, until the people behind them Claim them.

Rockad is a catalog where you find software by describing what you need. It is run by Bernie Solutions AB. By using Rockad you agree to these terms. How we handle personal data is on the privacy page.

Searching

Searching is free and needs no account. Results are ordered by how well a Listing matches what you wrote, nudged slightly by its Stars. Nobody can pay to rank higher.

Listings say what their Makers, or Rockad for an Unclaimed Listing, wrote about a product. Rockad uses AI to match searches by meaning and to pick out conditions such as a platform or a price, and it can get that wrong. Check a product yourself before you rely on it. Rockad doesn't sell the products, and anything you agree with a Maker is between you and them.

Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that address to yourself, since anyone who has it can sign in as you. An account is for one person.

Listing a product

If you list a product on Rockad, you confirm that:

  • you are allowed to represent the product and its Maker,
  • what you write about it is true and not misleading,
  • you have the right to use the logos, screenshots and text you upload.

A Listing is published once Rockad has approved it. We can decline, unpublish or remove a Listing that breaks these terms or doesn't fit the catalog.

You give Bernie Solutions AB a free, non-exclusive right to show your Listing's text, logo and screenshots on Rockad, to AI assistants that search Rockad, and in Badges and links to it, for as long as the Listing is on Rockad. You keep all other rights to your content.

Unclaimed Listings

Rockad writes some Listings itself, from what a product's own website says, and marks them as not confirmed by the Maker. The people behind a product can Claim its Listing and take it over, or ask us to remove it, and we will.

Stars and Badges

Star the Listings you like, one Star per person. Don't try to inflate Stars, for example with extra accounts. Makers may show their Listing's Badge on their own site, as long as it links to the Listing and isn't altered.

Fair use

Don't use Rockad to send spam, publish misleading content, collect data in bulk beyond what Rockad offers AI assistants, or disrupt the service. We can suspend an account that does.

No guarantees

Rockad is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we can't promise it always is. As far as Swedish law allows, Bernie Solutions AB isn't liable for indirect losses from using Rockad. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under law that can't be set aside.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. You can stop using Rockad at any time, and ask us to delete your account. To do so, contact Bernie Solutions AB (contact details are being added to this page).

Law

These terms follow Swedish law. Disputes are settled by Swedish courts.
